What is an Entrepreneurship degree?

An Entrepreneurship degree is ideal for creative thinkers and innovators who dream of starting their own business. You’ll learn all the ins and outs of creating a business from the ground up. You’ll not only further your leadership and advocacy skills, but you will also have a newfound confidence as you move forward toward your business goals.

The key to entrepreneurial success is more than a great idea. It takes excellent operational and financial execution coupled with an undying entrepreneurial energy. Entrepreneurship is both a pursuit and a mindset!

How much can you earn with an Entrepreneurship degree?

A degree in entrepreneurship can lead to jobs in management, consulting, research and development, non-profits, as well as business owner. Your salary will ultimately be determined based on your career path and your level of experience and education within the field. Of course, it also depends which industry you plan to create a business in and where that business will be based – from the food industry to the sports industry, your options are endless!

Though it is hard to pin down an exact salary, a study from American Express OPEN revealed that small business owners pay themselves a regular salary of about $68,000 annually.

What is required for an Entrepreneurship degree?

Most of the below programs are between 120-180 credit hours, depending on the amount of experience needed beforehand. Depending on the school, you might enroll as a full-time or part-time student. You don’t necessarily need to have a background in business to succeed as an undergraduate in any one of these programs.

Some online programs will require students to complete a capstone or final project equivalent in order to receive their degree. Many online bachelor’s degrees on this list can be completed in four years or less.

What are the best Entrepreneurship degrees?

OSR uses six data points: three school-wide and three program specific. For school-wide, OSR uses Student Satisfaction, Admission Rates, and the number of programs the school offers online. For program specific, OSR checks the Median Debt of graduates from that program, how many degrees are offered within that program’s umbrella department, and what percentage of students at that school graduated from that department.

The six statistics are displayed by each school. The sliding bar under each statistic represents how that school compares to other US institutions. “Not reported” means a school did not release that information to the US Department of Education. A more detailed description of the OSR process can be found on the methodology page.
